XAU/USD slides toward 4480 as trend aligned down all frames

Renzo

Gold is bleeding lower with no technical floor in sight, and the trend stack is offering no reason to step in front of it.

XAU/USD has dropped 1.47% on the session and trades inside a 4464.91 to 4589.27 range, extending a weekly loss that now exceeds 4%. Multiple prior support levels have given way in sequence through the past seven sessions, including 4557.58, 4610.16 and 4646.98, each broken level now acting as overhead supply. No meaningful news catalyst is in play, leaving the tape driven purely by technical and positioning flow.

The structural read favors continuation. Price sits below EMA20 at 4556.47, EMA50 at 4606.17 and EMA200 at 4687.99, with every major moving average stacked overhead as resistance. Trend is aligned down across 1H, 4H and 1D timeframes, volatility is elevated, and RSI is approaching oversold territory — consistent with a market in trend rather than reversal. From a momentum-following perspective, this is textbook: broken levels become resistance, and the path of least resistance remains lower. The 4480.49 level is the last identifiable near-term support before price enters open air toward the 4464.91 session low.

We lean short and sell any rallies into the 4501–4556 zone, where current price and EMA20 converge as supply. A daily close back above EMA50 at 4606.17 invalidates the bearish setup and forces a full reassessment.
