XAU/EUR slides to 3645 as downtrend alignment tightens grip

Renzo

Gold priced in euros is in free fall, with every meaningful support level from the past week now broken and bears firmly in control.

XAU/EUR shed more than 1% on the session and is grinding toward the 3641.00 intraday low, extending a weekly loss that now exceeds 5%. Prior pivots at 3777.76, 3879.18 and 3899.19 have all been taken out in sequence, leaving no structural floor visible in the input data.

For a trend-following desk, the setup does not require deliberation. Trend is aligned down across the 1H, 4H and 1D timeframes without exception, and price trades well beneath EMA20 at 3752.73, EMA50 at 3801.39 and EMA200 at 3905.45 — a clean bear stack. Volatility is elevated, meaning daily ranges are wide and moves are carrying. RSI is deep in oversold territory, which in a strong downtrend is a momentum condition rather than a reversal signal; stretched readings in aligned trends have a habit of remaining stretched. With no news catalyst on the tape and no visible support in the inputs, the path of least resistance stays lower.

We sell rallies into the 3752–3777 zone where EMA20 and the broken 3777.76 resistance now cap. A daily close above 3777.76 invalidates the bear bias and forces a full reassessment.
