Nikkei presses 72459 as full trend stack signals continuation

Renzo

The Nikkei is doing what trending markets do: breaking levels, leaving them behind, and giving no obvious reason to fade the move.

The index gained close to 1% on the session, ranging from 71118 up to an intraday high of 72970.5, and enters the Asian morning bid near 72459. Over the past week the index has added more than 4%, clearing a succession of prior resistance levels that now sit as support. Each of those prints is supply converted, not a ceiling to worry about.

The setup is clean for a trend-following desk. Price sits well above EMA20 at 71060.91, EMA50 at 69351.31 and EMA200 at 65191.12, with the full EMA stack in bullish order. Trend is aligned up across 1H, 4H and 1D simultaneously — the kind of alignment that typically precedes continuation rather than reversal. RSI sits firm but is not yet stretched into overbought territory, leaving the tape room to extend. Volatility is elevated, which in a trending environment amplifies momentum rather than signals exhaustion. No defined overhead resistance appears in the input data, confirming there is no technical ceiling in immediate play.

We look for dips into the 71060–71118 zone as continuation entries. A daily close below support at 70687 invalidates the bullish read and signals a more meaningful pullback is underway.
