DAX 30 fades below 24378 as short-term downtrend holds

Renzo

The bear pressure on DAX 30 is not new, but after a week that saw multiple prior support levels give way, the burden of proof now rests firmly with the bulls.

Price is holding around 24133, up modestly on the day after sweeping a session low at 23945.80, yet the one-week performance remains firmly in the red. With no major news catalyst driving Wednesday's mild recovery, the bounce looks corrective rather than structural — a dead-cat squeeze as short-term sellers reset.

The technical picture reinforces that read. Price trades below EMA20 at 24411.99, EMA50 at 24635.65 and EMA200 at 24557.70, with all three averages stacked above as layered supply. The trend-following lens is unambiguous: 1H and 4H momentum both run lower, the daily is neutral but not confirming any recovery, and RSI has drifted toward the lower end of its range without yet signalling capitulation. Volatility is elevated, which keeps the range wide and argues against chasing intraday noise. The first resistance cluster sits at 24378.425, with the zone between there and EMA20 at 24411.99 representing the logical area for sellers to reassert. Below, 24034.30 is the next support and 23922.60 the level beyond it.

We lean short and sell into the 24378–24411 band on any continuation of today's bounce. A daily close above EMA20 at 24411.99 invalidates the setup and signals a potential trend change.
