BTC/USD presses 62991 as downtrend alignment tightens grip

Renzo

Bitcoin is grinding below a wall of broken supports with trend aligned down across every timeframe, and there is no technical reason to stand in the way.

BTC/USD printed a session range of 62710.33 to 63066.75, a gain of less than 0.10% on the day — noise, not a reversal. No fundamental catalyst has come to the tape, and the prior-week loss of nearly 0.9% confirms sellers have been in control throughout the week. Levels that previously anchored buyers — 64198, 63895, 62310 — are now overhead supply.

The trend-following read is clear. Price sits well below EMA20 at 64399.70 and EMA50 at 64521.98, with EMA200 at 69697.68 a distant ceiling. That ordering tells you the structure is broken at every meaningful horizon. Trend is aligned down across 1H, 4H and 1D, RSI is pressing the lower end of its range without yet signalling an extreme washout, and volatility is elevated — a combination that historically precedes continuation rather than base-building. Each bounce attempt has been sold into, and the stack of broken prior supports from 64198 down to 62310 now functions as layered resistance on any rally.

We lean short and sell into strength toward 63895. A daily close below 62310 targets 61339 next. A sustained reclaim of 63895 on volume would force a reassessment and invalidate the current setup.
