BTC/USD fades below 64149 as downtrend pressure builds

Renzo

Bitcoin sits in a familiar spot — just below a cluster of resistance — with the trend doing the talking and the tape refusing to confirm any recovery.

Price has slipped 0.29% on the session and traded inside a 63770.28 to 64370.975 range, consolidating after a week that saw BTC shed over 2.3%. Several prior supports have capitulated in sequence over recent sessions, including the 63645 and 62281 levels that held earlier in the week, pointing to sustained distributional pressure.

The setup favours sellers. The 4H and daily trends are both pointed lower, and trend alignment is mixed at best, with the 1H failing to build a counter-trend case. Price is pressing just below EMA50 at 64149.49 and EMA20 at 64097.90 — two levels that have capped every meaningful rally attempt. EMA200 at 68073.88 is a structural ceiling well above current trade, underlining how much work bulls would need to do to shift the structural picture. RSI sits neutral and has not generated an oversold bounce signal. Volatility is elevated, which means stop-runs are possible, but momentum-following demands we trade the dominant direction.

We sell rallies into the 64149–64198 pocket and look for continuation toward 63645 then 63186. A daily close above 64558 invalidates the call and forces reassessment.
